Fitt's Law

Fitt's Law makes a lot of sense from a common sense standpoint. Bigger closer stuff is easier to get to. Though it doesn't account for some stuff like the person getting used to something being a certain location, it is still a good equation for measuring ease of use and for factoring in when designing things. The paper itself was BORING! But I did enjoy brian's lecture about fitt's law. It's interesting to see things so well quantified in an equation.

  1. I think Hick's Law was mentioned in class about accounting for a person being used to something being in a certain spot.

  2. I found the paper to be hard to read, too. Granted I don't think English was finalized in 1954, because I don't some of the stuff in the paper was English. The paper is important though, we need to get it translated into modern English. Old English is for English majors.

  3. The paper was about as fun to read as anything else from 1954. I know the study is important though, and it is used everywhere. Just the fact that it hasn't been proven wrong in 55 years is a testament to its correctness.

  4. I agree that the paper was hard to read, but the point it was trying to make is accurate, and kinda obvious in the way that we don't think about it until we are told about it.

  5. Yea, I thought the lecture was better too. Got the information in a fraction of the time, ;). The law itself is pretty cool too.
